This was from a little AU-experiment of mine where, instead of throwing his first thneed away, he uses it to wrap an injury and discovers that a combination of his special thneedmethods and the truffula tuft oil has healing benefits. So he sells his thneeds as bandages and stuff, but as the business grows and scientists join the team, they start to sell face-cloths and raw seeds (to swallow) as well, to retain your youth. Oh, and they make him Doctor Once-ler for advertising purposes. You can imagine how things proceed from there. UNTIL THIS TWIST.
